Une Etude des Termes dans “Covid-19 Outbreak Situation in Nigeria…” De Ajisegiri et al. et Leurs Equivalents Français

Cet article examine les nouvelles terminologies relatives à la maladie à coronavirus (covid19), développées dans différentes langues du monde, à savoir l‟anglais, le français, l‟espagnol, etc. Il observe que la description et la documentation de la nature et de la morphologie de ces termes ont été un peu négligées. Donc, cette étude vise à trouver des équivalents français aux termes anglais et décrire leur processus de formation. L„article a adopté l‟approche de l‟analyse textuelle qui nous a permis d‟identifier et d‟analyser les termes relevés dans un article de presse, intitulé « Covid-19 Outbreak Situation in Nigeria and the Need for Effective Engagement of Community Health Workers for Epidemic Response » de Whenayon Ajisegiri et al. Pour réaliser ce travail, nous avons consulté les sites internet, les dictionnaires en ligne et des documents en français portant sur le coronavirus. L‟étude révèle que les termes relevés et traduits en français sont d‟une part des termes simples et d‟autre part, complexes. Cet article est important pour sa contribution au domaine de la terminologie du Covid 19 et pour l‟intérêt qu‟il suscite auprès des étudiants de français, chercheurs et traducteurs.

Abstract
This paper examines new terminologies dealing with Coronavirus sickness or Covid-19 which evolved recently in various languages of the world, namely English, French, Spanish, etc. It observes that the description and documentation of the nature and morphology of these terms have been somewhat neglected. Thus, this study aims to find French equivalents to the English terms, and describe their process of word formation. It adopted the textual analysis approach which allowed us to identify and analyse the terms taken from a Newspaper article, entitled " Covid-19 Outbreak Situation in Nigeria and the Need for Effective Engagement of Community Health Workers for Epidemic Response " by Whenayon Ajisegiri et al. To carry out this work, we consulted websites, online dictionaries and documents in French relating to the coronavirus. The study found that the terms identified and translated into French are on the one hand simple terms and on the other hand, complex terms. This paper is significant as it contributes to knowledge in the field of Covid-19 terminology, and it is beneficial too French students, researchers, and translators.
